I’ve had a look at this years online forms.
The 3916 has disappeared and a new method has been introduced. I haven’t tried it yet.
2047 is still required for income external to France.
No doubt I will have multiple efforts to get it right.
Edited.
All bank accounts have to be REENTERED. AAAAAHG.

Interestingly the address for Wise changed in March 2025 for both The Euro account and the Sterling one. I had no idea so at least that’s one update done.

And as every year, we will have to go to our tax office to have them do it. Why the F to they insist on changing the form every year?! If they would make it simple and consistent, surely people would be more likely to do it right. Making it difficult just annoys people and makes them more likely to leave something out, or cheat.

We were with Wise (Transferwise) for years until they suddenly wanted more I.D. from us with photos taken holding a piece of paper, etc. We tried many times but couldn't get both face and document in focus at the same time so they closed our accounts. No alternative method to reinstate an account and a pretty poor attitude to our problem.
A real shame because it was the cheapest and quickest method we could find to change ££s to €€s.

Oh great. After years of subjecting myself to weeks of stress over filling in the forms, last year I decided to pay someone else to do it for me. As I already had all the figures ready and our return is quite straight forward for anyone who knows what they're doing, it took 10 minutes and was worth every centime of the money I paid. I so wish I'd done it years ago. I believe I can find the copies I made of 3916 showing the bank account details without too much hassle.
Good luck, everyone. Here we go again.

You can download the full Déclaration des revenus 2025 Brochure pratique 2026 brochure here
https://www.impots.gouv.fr/www2/fichier ... ccueil.htm
It includes examples of the various 2042 tax forms.
As mentioned above: Annex 3916-3916bis relating to foreign accounts and contracts is included in the main declaration.
Sur l’écran de sélection des rubriques, il faut cocher la case « Comptes, contrats ou placements à l’étranger » afin d’accéder à cette nouvelle rubrique.
I've not looked at the revised form 2042/2042C in any detail yet but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few new boxes which might need to be ticked?

I’m with you Veem.
I had a local French friend help me for several years, but it was clear that only worked because she could get local tax office support. When that was no longer available I received a hefty rebate which I kept to one side (thankfully) as the following year I had to repay it in full.
Now I have an accountant to complete it and for me it’s worth every penny as I have to pay UK and French tax.

When we arrived 20 years ago, we didn't have a clue, we weren't married had several forms of income, also our french was pretty poor, luckily we found a local account who spoke fluent english, and was also upto date with both english and french tax systems, but also was available for lots of other advice regarding french administration, and we have been using them ever since.

I didn't retire to fill in tax forms! Consequently, I leave all that to Herself (who presents as knowing everything about everything). A box of chocolates or a bunch of flowers can go a long way, and ........................ if there's a cock up.

Go on LG, what happens if there's a cock-up?
We kept our business accountants after we retired, but I can't say it's been plain sailing.
