I've just received this from l'assurance maladie and thought I'd post it as it might be handy for someone(s) who may not be in the system as it gives a number to call as well as the website.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The coronavirus is actively circulating again and the protection offered by vaccination decreases with time, particularly in people aged 60 and over.
If you are between 60 and 79 years of age, you are eligible, since 7 April, for a new booster vaccination (second booster or 4th dose in most cases), 6 months after your previous booster.
If you have any doubts (e.g. recent Covid), talk to your health professional (doctor, pharmacist, nurse) who will be able to advise you and, if necessary, vaccinate you.
You can make an appointment :
- by telephone, on 0 800 009 110 (free number from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm);
- on the website https://www.sante.fr/
If you have already received this second reminder, then you are protected and are not concerned by this message.
If you have not yet been vaccinated against Covid-19, we strongly recommend that you get vaccinated to protect yourself now.

While it's a good resource @elsie it is far from complete.

Which is what I said. And also the second link leads to more possible places than the first link as it gives places which are not part of the Doctolib, etc. booking systems.

But do you know any better sources apart from asking around locally?

Emmanuel Macron’s government suffers first defeat since French election setback

One of the first bills put to parliament by Emmanuel Macron’s new government was defeated on Wednesday, raising major doubts over the president’s ability to pass new laws.

Opposition MPs rejected a proposal to reinstate the health pass for travellers entering France, requiring them to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test in the event of the emergence of a new Covid variant.

Personally, it seemed a sensible step for me - debating it with a clear head now rather than later in a time of panic.

But the other issue is now Macron cannot just push laws through with no majority.

The President does not "push laws through" [parliament] in France - he has a government to attempt that.
LFI will block anything on principle as far as I can see, despite their denials after the election. Same for the RN, although less overtly.
The rest are still licking their wounds after the thrashing they've had in the last 6 years.

I got a call to go for my 4th jab tomorrow at the pharmacie. She told me to take a doliprane? 1 hour before I arrive. I thought there was a decision to drop the tablet before the jab? I didn't take one last time - I saved it for when I went to bed in the hope of a good night's sleep which worked although I didn't suffer any after effects anyway. Anyone got any views on the pill popping beforehand please?

@Sparkle There are mixed views on whether taking a Doliprane before and/or afterwards makes any difference - it works for some but not others. If it worked for you last time, there's no guarantee it will work next time ! Sorry not to be more helpful, but it's the nature of the beast.

@Blaze Thanks Blaze. I decided I'm going to take one before I go - I'll save it for later should I need it. Apparently I'm getting pfizer whereas up to date I've had moderna.

We have never taken anything before or after and had no ill effects apart from a slight muscular pain in the area the day after.

We both had the same experience as Hotrodder for each of our 4 injections. All I would add is that all our injections have been Pfizer.
