Ear crystals
Doc gave me some pills; took a few days to clear up.
BUT, if you are suffering from dizziness there could be other causes. Doc told me to bend slowly and thoughtfully as it is a factor of old age.

Yes I get dizzy even turning over in bed, one of the symptoms of it.
I just thought I had a bunged up ear (wax) but my heart Dr said it's crystals.

Ear crystals
My OH has had this for 10 years. Doc thought it was a stroke to start with. It can be really debilitating - he is very unsteady in badly lit areas. We tried all the special physio stuff for weeks to no avail. He’s had to learn to live with it

Mr B suffers from it now and again - I still believe it started when he was working in ridiculous summer heat, in someone's attic shower-room, amongst rat droppings and other atrocious work conditions.
Don't know why - but just a weird coincidence!
Doc diagnosed it as menieres at the time and gave him valium as a calming influence and also some "sea-sickness" pills to help with the nausea. It comes and goes, but usually during hotter spells. It has been (vaguely) linked to high-salt diets, and water-rentention pills are also said to help relieve symptoms. But, nothing can get rid of the crystals, so they say, and there's no remedy unfortunately. Operations are not recommended.
His current Doc won't supply valium anymore, because of other medication he's on - but he does continue to take water-retention pills, so maybe that's helping keep it at bay. During this hot spell, he's half expecting it to kick off at any moment, but so far so good. Just best to avoid going up ladders and looking upwards unnecessary!

Just a quick question to google and this is a general response:
"Ménière disease is a disorder caused by fluid buildup in the chambers in the inner ear. It may be caused by several things, including allergies, abnormal immune system response, head injury, migraine headaches, or a viral infection." So, in my husband's case - maybe he did suffer something when he was in that rat-infested cooker of a shower-room.

Menieres wasn't mentioned, just crystals.
I was told the ENT would just manipulate my head to make the crystals drop down. There is a lot of information on YouTube.
I'm fed up with the horrible feeling of deafness.
