Covid jabs

#11 Post by Chappers51 »

Our nurses are doing the vaccines here. I missed a call last week and the nurse who called didn’t give rdv but I think expected people to be available.
Called this morning to arrange rdv, a different nurse answered, and I’m just back from having it done. I’ve followed the advice (I think it was Blaze who gave it at the beginning of all this) one Doliprane straight away, then another before bed and I’ll then take 3 tomorrow. It’s the only time I take them.

@Chappers51 Yes, Chappers, our doctors and our vaccination centre have always recommended taking a Doliprane straight afterwards and then before bed. Neither of us had the slightest problem (we both had AZ and Pfizer) afterwards.
But there doesn't really seem to be any rhyme or reason why some people are affected and some aren't.

I must arrange our 4th jabs. The lady who comes in to help with cleaning on Monday afternoons has developed Covid. We've been 'cas contact' several times before without problem, but how long will our luck last?

I’ve found a pharmacy that is doing 4th jabs but only because I spoke to someone who had heard about it. Not on doctolib and our village pharmacy didn’t know about it. My MT and local pharmacy are not doing them. We’re now booked in for early July and we’re taking our elderly neighbour to get hers tomorrow.

Just been put on the MT's list for our next doses. When she gets sufficient numbers she contacts us all with the date.

I’ve got an appointment for the 4th jab tomorrow morning through Doctolib at a local pharmacy. Only potential problem is that my daughter tested positive yesterday, so far I’m negative, let’s see what tomorrow brings.

Phone call at 7pm yesterday - OH ask to attend for his 4th today at 2pm. Glad he's in before the school hols start. Unfortunately my appointment has to be confirmed but at the moment it's 26 July 🤞

Just looked at paying for a 2nd booster here as deemed "too young" - but they also say they only give boosters 4 months after a bout of Covid - not sure that rule applies in France?
