The remboursement on my aids from the ss and the mutuelle was the equivalent to the cost of one aid, however 50% of the other aid was taken off my tax bill ,total cost to me was 700€ so french aids aren't that expensive.

That's very interesting - was that automatic or did you claim under a particular part of the return?

Can you explain the tax bill bit please?

They are not automatic , you have to claim ,The first two times it was in section W on the paper declaration.with justification,On line I can't remember where but I didn't have to send the bill in.They will ask if need be.

Is the reimbursement linked to income?
The last time I enquired the reinbursement I was entitled to was almost zero.

As far as I am aware no , I don't think that buying outside France will be counted but you never know. why not enqire at the MDPH at quimper https://www.mdph29.fr/
each department has its own mdph so put in mdph and the department number eg mdph 22 into google .

Thanks. I'm not bothered about trying to claim for the aids I've just bought but seeking clarity on the regs. should I buy in France.
The last time I spoke to the Audiologist (Audica) I've used for about 10 years he didn't think I'd get much back on top of the range in ear jobbies.
I'll have a look at the site you metioned but at the mo. the 2 new aids are performing fine & much better than my last singleton.
I've only had them a few days & they're getting better each day with a bit of tweaking here & there.

The current wait-time in 47 is just over 4 months. I submitted a dossier in March and the refusal came through in July, on the grounds of me being over 60. Which they could see on the front page of the dossier Is it just me??
Equally, a dear friend (62) submitted a dossier last year, which was approved. Posthumously, as it turned out
