UPDATE

10 days after surgery and today I'm going home. I was shocked at first they were sending me home, a bit scared too without the safety blanket of the staff, but, I know I will recover better in my own home.

Every part of moving is painful, but I guess that will get better as time passes.

So stage one is done, the next stage, chemo, will start in about a month.

Great to hear all went well, MOTM2. At least you have all your comforts around you now, and medical help is only a 'phone call away. I don't think they'd let you out if they had any concerns.

Beautiful time of year for taking it easy - just sit back and gaze at the Autumn colours, and the added bonus that it's still quite warm, but not uncomfortably hot!

So glad to hear you are going home. I can fully understand your concerns. Take everything extra slowly.

Agree with Bayleaf, it is very lovely outside these days. Leaves turning and weather quite nice.

Great news, MOTM2, glad you've got through the first stage. Lots of rest to let your body heal (you probably don't want to do anything else !) - it should be much easier at home - hospitals can be noisy, busy places !

I always say hospital is where we try to make you better/ save your life,but you don’t recover in hospital
