La buvette

A vide-greniers or brocante without buvette: almost impossible.
Incidentally, it seems that all attics have been pretty much cleared out in the last few decades. Lots of children's toys, lots of clothes (not my size....) and all sorts of crockery, old pots and pans. And sometimes still some authentic old (rusty) tools. Did see a big poster, Au Bon Coin, by the photographer Robert Doisneau. I stopped for a moment. The original turns out to be in the Centre Pompidou. In short, some walking around, some talking, taking a few photos and that's about it. Got up early anyway, ready for a lazy Sunday afternoon. And in the evening an apéro dinatoire, all together, out little commune, in the garden of our Mairie, speech by Mr le maire, welcome to new inhabitants, road works next year, le quatorze Juillet. Finished with an impressive fireworks display.

Old rusty tools.

You should keep them well oiled.

Do you know how much the vendor was asking for the poster?

How much would an original print be worth?

The (almost local) vide grenier where we have a pitch is just as you describe, not much apart from childrens' clothes, toys, and seriously tatty crockery and kitchen utensils. We always do quite well selling old tools (with the rust polished off and coated with a layer of WD or linseed oil). Also jars and packets full of nails, screws, fasteners, hinges, handles, catches etc. I still have lots more to top up stocks with. I got lucky last Sunday and shifted a pair of KEF loudspeakers. A serious bargain for the buyer and a nice result for me. They were taking up valuable space indoors and I didn't have the heart to store them outside to be chewed by rodents.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

@ Hotrodder: KEF, Wharfedale, Celestion, Tannoy, B&W, Rogers, Mission, Spendor, Quad ESL and several others.

@ Niftyons: to be honest, I didn't dare to ask, afraid that the price could be too attractive.... Internet asking price, bare poster, unframed, about € 45.
