Have you ever eaten bottled Brussels or cauliflower?

I would not dream of it. Why bottle Brussels when they are available fresh during the hungry gap?
Cauli - that's what Piccalilli is for. Also probably available fresh where @tagh is but not here, although the supermarkets have plenty but just not local.

As said, today we have freezers and apart from jam the only bottling I have done is tomatoes and then only because the freezers were already full of passata et al..
