Superb restaurant - La Grange aux Oies - now closed

La Grange aux Oies at Nieuil closed its doors for the final time today after lunch service. The restaurant was in one of the buildings attached to the chateau but earlier this year, the chateau, all its buildings and land were sold. Pascal (chef) and Patrice (maitre d'h) had leased the premises for many years and we had eaten well there many times over the years. It was one of the best restaurants in the area so will be very missed. Luckily Pascal and Patrice have plans to open a smaller restaurant fairly close in about a year.

Does anyone else have memories of eating there?

Me. Lots of times. Hopefully the new restaurant will be just as good and as a bonus it will be a few km closer to me as well.
