70 years on, many still enjoy the Coronation Chicken recipe from 1953 (we do once or twice a year).

Now Coronation Quiche has been released.

Will it be around in 70 years - or is it just yet another fairly indifferent variation on the quiche?

I love broad beans, but am not sure how they would go in a quiche, unless they were very small & skinned.

Have to agree. They had me until I saw the beans.

The idea of beans in a quiche is horrible!
Is this supposed to be an austerity dish?

I have to declare myself an absolute fan of (baby) broad beans. I had them in a vegetarian quiche a friend had made and was a tad surprised to see them in it, and even more surprised to find I really liked them that way.

Strange choice of dish with 'quiche' being French and eggs in short supply (and will remain so until flocks are built up to pre-birdflu numbers).

Not to mention it being a bit early in the season for fresh broad beans

I think it sounds delicious !
The only thing I wouldn't have is lard in the pastry - yuk
