Thought I'd start a new thread with quick & easy recipes for nice meals which even I can cook. Please contribute with photos if possible.

This evening's meal has been Sausage & broccoli pasta which is a fav. here.

Looks nice but I hate broccoli.
Humanity landed on the moon over fifty years ago but it seems too much to ask for a reliable telephone/internet service in rural France.

That does look nice LAF.

Since I'm now dealing with a broken tooth, my meals will not be that appealing or attractive.

Today, in anticipation of the afternoon/evening storms, I have taken some trout out of the freezer and pre-prepped some eggplant and sweet potato (I microwave them to soften them before cooking them on the BBQ). In the event we lose power (or not actually), we will cook it all on the gas BBQ this evening.

The last power outage a few weeks ago lasted 16 hours, so no opening of the fridge/freezer the minute the power goes out as we never know how long it will be out. Have to at least attempt to salvage the contents of both.

I'll happily post future meals once my tooth is fixed. :(

Yeah, I suppose pasta cooked Al dente would be taking the proverbial ;)
Best of luck if storm hits.

Thanks ! It is very gusty out there right now. Rain has not yet arrived. I've tried to secure everything I can on the terrace. Brought in what I could.

I think there are 11 departments on Orange alerts.
