Hello and Welcome

#181 Post by Bayleaf »

Hi Trelawny, another warm welcome to our small (and usually friendly!) forum. I grew up in Devon before moving here to NE Dordogne, avec la famille, 20 years ago, and know many great places in Cornwall. (I was a film extra in a very cheesy Paramount film years ago, that used Holywell Bay near Perranporth as part of their set).

Hi @Trelawney
I live at the bottom of Indre/top of Creuse. So probably not far from your secondaire. We moved from the Dorset coast to here in 2004 to a "No going back " type wreck of a farmhouse.
Still in the same house, though no longer a wreck!

We have been in our house since 2001 and have made it comfortable but have not needed to renovate in a big way. Our nearest town is La Chatre where we shop for most things and sometimes eat out.

You weren't far off the mark Qs.......I was stationed at the Rond de Thiolais from 8h00 until midi and 11 cyclists passed.....frigging 11. only just recovered from the cold and boredom...

Ah, but, don't you get a warm glow when you think that you saved 11 lives and a whopping proportion of Decathlon's profits for the year?
