Dog to UK and back

#1 Post by tagh »

I am hoping to take Maizy to the Uk for the first time via the Tunnel in August and would be grateful for a checklist of things that have to be done, svp:

1. puce
2. pet passport
3. certificate of good health from vet
4. rabies jab up to date
5. anti worming treatment minimum 24 hours, maximum 5 days before travel

Any jabs forgotten?

Membership of the Labour Party required?

She will be checked at the Tunnel before travelling.

We will be away for a maximum of 10 days.

What does she need to return to France?

All info gratefully received.

TIA.

I am only certain of the requirements for the reverse trip and being resident in UK so I cannot be certain of the details for you. A resident in France may have different conditions applied. With a French issued PP we do not need a separate health certificate but I assume this is inherent in the visit to the vet for the tick treatment and passport entry. On our trip from UK to France we only have the EU issued PP showing the validity of the chip and rabies jab.
One small point is to check that the owner details correspond to the person travelling with the pet.
Your Lab looks great!

Thank you, Trewlaney, she is great; a rescue of four and a bit who had never been street or lead trained. Responding well and can now be walked properly even in crowded markets. The gentlest dog whose tails never stops and who loves to cuddle up with me on the sofa.
