Hello from me after a long time

#1 Post by manonthemoon2 »

Happy new year everyone and I hope you are doing well after my long absence.

I'm happy to say that I coped with a very difficult year last year, first with chemotherapy which I found very tough, then of course with a broken femur.
Happy because the year finished.

I have been looking in to see what's been going on.

So, hopefully I'm cancer free, I have a routine appointment on Friday. As for my leg, I'm doing better, I can manage to walk unaided for a few steps, but use crutches a lot. I'm seeing a good physio now, which was lacking for most of the year.

So, what have I missed? I hope you are all OK?

Good to see you back. Sounds as if your year has been even worse than some of the rest of us. Good that you seem to be o n the mend.

Good to hear that you are much better, having been through a number of troubles ( not the dreaded c though) for a few of years I know what its like.

Nice to see you back MOTM2. I can understand how you'd be glad to be rid of 2023. I hope 2024 brings better days for you.

Well, the Joke thread is up to 173 pages. Apart from that - not a lot.

Great to see you back, MOTM2. Yes, it sounds as if you had a tough year, and hopefully 2024 will be better.
I'm glad to hear you have a good physio - it's almost impossible to get your form back without one because they will make you do things you wouldn't dare otherwise. You feel very vulnerable once the plaster comes off and the crutches do give you physical and mental support.
Take care.

A friend had a nasty leg break due to chemo, it took a while but she’s back to normal now
