ADCS. Has anyone come across this. Apparently you have to have a copy with you either on your phone or a paper copy if stopped by the police. I have printed copies for us and the information just duplicates that on the licence. Also it is only valid for 4 months. Seems just another example of silly bureaucracy.

If you type Mon points permis it gives you a link to the website and you have to open an account. Fairly straight forward

I stumbled across this on MSN news. You'd think if it was compulsory you would bet some official notification but then......

I don't read it as being compulsory. It's useful to have in certain circumstances.

Pour votre information, l'attestation de droits à conduire est émise dans le cadre de la demande de renouvellement suite à perte physique du permis de conduire uniquement.
Ce document est disponible une fois que la demande est validée par le service instructeur.
Pour imprimer ce document, vous devez vous connecter à votre compte ANTS et vous rendre dans votre tableau de bord. Cliquez sur "consulter" pour avoir accès à ce document.

So it's just an attestation covering you when you have lost or are in the process of renewing your permis.

Strangely enough I have just downloaded & printed one of these as my UK licence has just gone off to be exchanged for a French one - it's only taken 14 months to reach this point!!

demi - mine took two and a half years! They told me "patience", then "It's been lost" all he while, there it was on their system. Finally, they advised "you ned to reapply" but how could I when the system said "you can't apply as you already have an application on the system".
Eventually, I got a notaire to write on my behalf and got a french replacement - with an expiry date 15 years hence.
