I'm just bumping this up, though I'm not sure whether any of our members have had visitors from the UK recently.
It's a bit difficult for you to comply with this if your Prefecture don't even know about it though isn't it.

Yes, Char, I have had a visitor but never thought of running down to the mairie for ‘permission’ so to speak.
