I couldn't move fast enough rescue this poor crane fly - the spider moved like lightning when she felt something catch in the web.
This spider has many names in English - common garden spider, crowned orb weaver, cross spider etc. I know it as Epeire diadème !

Hard though it is to say so but, neither should you. Life in the raw and captured, beautifully, to your usual standard.

Loads of those tiny Ladybirds in the kitchen and bathroom the last few days, not sure why.
