There are some fabulous windmills, pigeonniers, and othe follies scattered in and around the Bordeaux vineyards - here are just a few:

Might as well include Windmills - This beauty is in Saint-Felix-de-Foncaude opposite Chateau de Orangerie.

Lovely, you live in a tidier area than me Oldblueraincoat.

If we had building like that in these parts, you probably wouldn't be able to see them above the brambles and weedy undergrowth. :(

Love these photos but especially the cow and the owl - is it possible that I've seen the owl on a TV programme as a place to stay for a weekend break?

I'm really envious - everything interesting round this way is really messy, not all nice and clean and tidy like the places in your wonderful photos.
