Booster jabs

My step-dad's wife has just had her booster jab (they both did), in the UK. This is pretty much only a month after she had Covid virus, and she had quite a reaction this time. I thought that if you'd had the virus, this was counted as a sort of vaccine for six months. Or is that just France? For instance, after my daughter contracted it in July, it gave her the equivalent of a Pass Sanitaire for six months, and is counted as one vaccine. So if she wanted a "second" one, she won't need it until January.

Yes, you are right - for France. When she has her jab, she will get a new 'vaccinated' pass sanitaire after one jab.

However, if your daughter then wanted to go to England she would need to get a second jab afterwards, as the UK doesn't accept "covid plus one jab" as being fully vaccinated.

There is absolutely no chance of my daughter travelling to the UK for the foreseeable future, so she won't have to worry about that side of things!

Here those who have had nasty Covid symptoms are ususally advised to wait several months before getting a jab.

One of our sons had Covid early on in the year and was told to have (one) nvaccination after 6 months. I hope your step-dad's wife recovers quickly, BL.

Well, after visiting repeatedly for 2 weeks, assuming holidays, it now seems that our regular pharmacists have retired and moved their business to the other in the village. This one does not do vaccins, nor does it keep wheelchairs, they need 2 days notice. So we are back ringing the surgery repeatedly to get a human to respond, and, if unimaginably, they give us a rdv immediately, we cannot accept because Fran won't be able to get there. The word bordelle comes to mind, and I am not going to join the frustrating doctolib merrygoround again.

@Spardo Have you tried KelDoc David? - I had the Doctolib frustration but was able to book, on line, two appointments for early next month.
