OH just had her booster. The following day she felt really run down, and flu-like. The next day much better and back to normal. Mine is due sometime next month and if I can get one myself I'm going for it. We don't have much contact with the outside world here but we're not taking any chances. Thankfully we don't live in or visit Plague Island any more.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Don't get me wrong I am not a non believer, but do we really know, once upon a time thalidomide was a wonder drug, now we are using this vaccine, developed in a really short time span, it could be a life saver but on the other hand??

I had my booster last week, it was the Pfizer one after the first two being Astra Zenica. Absolutely no side effects.

Listen to logic and truth and not the BS on the internet.

Some posts have been removed from this thread. My apologies to those of you who responded to the removed posts because I've had to remove yours as well, otherwise the thread wouldn't have made any sense.

We've just heard that the 3rd dose can be given after 5 months instead of 6 but will await verification.
We know several people who had no side effects after the first 2 jabs but felt stiff and tired for a day after the third. In all cases, the symptoms passed in 24 hours. Most people we know have had no side effects at all after the 3rd injection.
@hughnique Ignore the rumour mongers - the vaccine wasn't invented overnight ! Corona viruses aren't new and research continues.
Too many people spread rumours and frankly, downright lies gleaned from social media and gossip from friends who've also got it from social media.
We should consider ourselves fortunate to be able to be vaccinated. There are many who live in countries where the vaccine is not widely available.

@hughnique , just to add to what others have written; the UK now has around 10 million boosters given, France over 5 million. If there was a major problem of people keeling over, don't you think the press or other media would be reporting about it? After all it took a very short period for the (what turned out to be overstated) problems of AZ in under 50s to hit the press. They are not backward in picking up issues and the media reports are limited to some people feeling a bit rougher after the third jab (and 8 months ago it was the second jab IIRC).

Now nu is suspected of being in Belgium - apparently

And my doctor has just refused to sign an exception letter for me to have a booster - says there is just a slight blip and in two weeks it will be normal again (remember Switzerland has amongst lowest vaccine uptake in Western Europe) - wait until January when he thinks it will become an annual event.

I hate to say this, but the last major pandemic - the so-called Spanish flu - took 6 years to peter out...
