A test again required to enter France

#21 Post by RobertArthur »

Two minutes ago the content of the website of the French embassy in London has been updated, the amended text reads as follows:

===========================================================================================================

TRAVELLING FROM THE UK TO FRANCE
1. Travelling from the UK to France
LAST MINUTE :

From 4 December, fully vaccinated travellers (12 years old or more), and whatever their nationality, have to provide the result of a negative PCR or antigen test (in paper or digital format) carried out less than 48h hours prior to departure. Self-administred tests (NHS test for example) are not considered valid for travel.

The NHS indicates that it will not carry out tests for travel purposes. Private entities offering the same service must therefore be used.

As French residents with CV, do we now have to pay for a PCR test before leaving France to visit the UK?

Before our laboratoire just took our carte vitales and we didn't pay anything to the lab

It depends whether or not you have a passe sanitaire, not whether you have a CV. You don't need to pay of you have a passe sanitaire or are exempt

But you don't need a PCR from France to travel to England. You need to book a day 2 test PCR in the UK

-----------------------------

from https://uk.ambafrance.org/COVID-19-rule ... e-UK-28918

TRAVELLING FROM FRANCE TO THE UK
LATEST:
If you are fully vaccinated and arrive in England after 4am Tuesday 30 November, you:
must self-isolate
take a PCR test before the end of day 2 after you arrive (lateral flow tests will not be accepted)
can leave self-isolation if your PCR test result is negative

You can read full information on the UK Government website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/red-amber-a ... ng-england

--------------------

and from UK Government website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-e ... s-covid-19
If you are fully vaccinated
This is what you need to do if you qualify under the fully vaccinated rules for travel to England.
Before you travel to England – fully vaccinated
Before you travel to England you must:

book and pay for a COVID-19 PCR test – to be taken after you arrive in England
complete a passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England
You cannot use an NHS test for your PCR test. You must use a private test provider.

You will need to enter your COVID-19 test booking reference number on your passenger locator form.

If you’re in England for less than 2 days, you still need to book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 test. You must quarantine until you receive a negative day 2 COVID-19 PCR test, or until you leave England, whichever is sooner.

When you arrive in England – fully vaccinated
After you arrive in England you must take a COVID-19 PCR test. This is the test that you booked before travel.
You can take the test any time after you arrive and before the end of day 2 at the latest. The day you arrive is day 0.
You must quarantine in your home or the place you are staying while you await your test result.

Thanks Elsie, we both have 1, 2 and 3 vaccinations with certificate. Is that a pass sanitaire? I have the tout covid app on my phone but his phone won't update.

Yes. But the printed versions are also valid.
Have you tried downloading fresh copies from your Ameli account?
Have you updated the TousAntiCovid app?

Have you tried deleting the app completely, rebooting the phone and then reinstalling? https://www.androidauthority.com/how-to ... id-789537/

I keep a copy of the PDF certificate on my phone as well as the information in the app as I had a problem with an early version of the app.

You can keep the certificate details of other people in the TousAntiCovid app so you would only need one phone to show certificates of both at a restaurant, etc.

This guide will explain how to check whether any of your Android or iPhone apps need updating and how to update https://www.guidingtech.com/check-apps- ... e-android/
Or you could force an update by deleting the current app and installing the latest version (see above)
