Re: PCR tests
Right that’s what I had misread
Funny that despite it being so infectious and sweeping the country when we know it did hit, those pockets stayed so localised and don’t appear to have caused so many hospitalisations or deaths. Oh well I suppose we will never know the full story

Re: PCR tests
It was recognised - just well covered up! There are many examples of suspected Covid in this timeframe.

If it was “analised” it’s more likely to be pilesDoug wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 5:27 pmSorry but mami's fathers doctor told us it more than likely was when we had to call her out to him at night, saving his life.she said then that her husband had it along with lots of others in Kent.
Mami and her pa had it on the chest but for me it was two weeks of headaches like I'd never known and the through muscles in my body.
Here in France much later in 2020 it came out that lots had a bad flue in october 2019 but when it was analised it turned out to be the covid.
Firmly believe that it was out long before at first thought.
Ok I'm repeating what I posted on the previous forum.

Re: PCR tests
I think, despite the vaccine, we are still learning about Covid - and long Covid.
As I said previously, properly conducted tests have given false negatives (I've seen 20% quoted). Covid is not restricted to the naso-pharyngeal area and PCR only analyses material collected in those areas.

There’s still a vast amount to learn, both my niece and one of our consultants felt ill, had negative PCR , got worse ,went back in a matter of hours and had positive tests the next time, from two different testing centres

Re: PCR tests
I have read reports of infections as early as Nov 2019. The WHO certainly recognise s an outbreak in Wuhan in Dec 2019
