Covid or colds or tummy bugs, ´twas ever the case!
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

Re: Covid in UK
So they are going to allow the virus to keep circulating and mutating...knowing that it could become vaccine-resistant and/or even more deadly?..that's shocking - and a very scarey thought
The UK will be treated like lepers by the rest of the World - or has it already started...with the flights being stopped?

Heaven alone knows what they're doing over there. With some of the comments I've heard from javid and others today, they're either in complete denial or they're deliberately trying to bring the NHS to it's knees.
I don't know how the Nurses and Doctors over there can keep going, at this rate they'll all start coming down with PTSD, they're not robots that can keep going without any respite.

Re: Covid in UK
Personal view is that they are trying to maximise the levels of infection before winter and generate some of this herd immunity. A somewhat later reduction in freedoms (maybe not full lockdown) will then tie back infections and hospital admittances. Risky strategy in my opinion, start to reduce freedoms too late and you and the NHS are cooked. Do it too early and people will criticise why it happened at all.
I think the continental European stance has been better in never pretending the problem had gone away - no Freedom Days - and continued restrictions. But that is not how HMG wants to operate.

Israel should have been a lesson - vaccine wears off - yet booster rate is seriously poor.

Sadly its started. My trust has had psychological helplines etc in place for a long time fortunately having recognised the potential problems. One of the matrons has been a mate for many years from another job. He is one of the most chilled ,laid back people you’ve ever met with an easy quip for every occasion, has been off sick with stress and has returned to an easier roleChar wrote: ↑

Re: Covid in UK
A friend GP of ours retired last Autumn as his own health was just going downhill rapidly - he kept delaying it as he felt he couldn't leave his colleagues, but he was becoming more of a liability with his own problems.
And still the UK Govt. couldn't give a toss - that's what makes me sooooo angry.

My personal view is that they are trying to get rid of what they perceive to be the dead-wood
that is stopping GB reaching the Promised Land, and, if there is any justice in this world they
will end up just like Mussolini.

To be fair some public health officials are saying the half term will provide a kind of natural break, which sort of contracts the fact that the government has been saying for 18 months schools aren’t drivers of transmission
