I went on line with Doctolib last night and booked my appointment in the town for Tuesday.
Can't you do that? Or does that present some difficulties?

Its no more than an observation from me wearing a mask and keeping a distance here in the Pyrenee Atlantique and nearby Spain Pamplona or Jaca which I visit regularly everyone is also masked. I am fortunate to be able to speak to my pharmacy and agree a rendezvous for my booster this Tuesday

We just phoned our local pharmacy and were offered any date in two weeks and a time of our choosing. The storage requirements for Pfizer seem to be less onerous and many para medical options are available for vaccinations

You can book at any pharmacy or your doctor.
Our commune organised the first 2 jabs at the Salle des fêtes (100m from us), and they phoned us last week to say that the 3rd jab session will be on 03/12.

Simple answer is yes a mask is very effective at stopping/significantly reducing the transmission of a virus. Not perfect, but then masks aren't perfect against bacteria either.

Provided masks reach a certain criteria they do help protect against viruses I hope I haven’t spent a large chunk of the last 18 months wearing one for nothing
