Two rugged Scandinavians, a 1977 SAAB and – load it up –
a 1993 Volvo Estate (240 Polar) for DIY enthusiasts. A car that still has proper roof gutters, which in this case support five
roof crossbars. All solid stuff from Sweden. And, of course,
a tow bar. What will it be this time: a few long beams, sand and cement, plasterboard, a set of kitchen cupboards, a fridge, a table, removal service? Of course, the professionals drive around in something a bit bigger and newer, but they, too, are generally
white in colour in France.
You can go even further back in time, to a 1961 SAAB model. Also available
in red.
