No not yet. The bruit de corridor is that a similar car changed ownership for about 2.5 mln euros. This one is very special and completely restored by Mercedes in the nineties. What about 3.2 mln? In the meantime more pictures.

In the sixties George Harrison already fell in love with a Mercedes 600, short wheelbase.

Also available in black (sold).

The latest buzzword is 1970. Not in the collection of The Beatles, one of The Supremes or The Rolling Stones, not mentioned in the works of a certain Schumacher, the economist, small is beautiful. A Fiat 500 Pullman.

I have never seen one before. Stimulates the imagination. How about a stretch limo version. There'd be plenty of room between the driver's seat and the main passenger area to slot in a decent V8. :D

Talking of V8s. My MG had a crack in one of the manifolds. The garage rang me to see if it was OK to take the engine out as they couldn't get to one of the bolts of the manifold. They were struggling so rang MG who said to take the engine out you first need to remove the manifolds. They eventually got one of the yoyng apprentices with thin srms to get access to the last bolt to remove the manifold.

Was that a BGT-V8? I never saw one up close but I would think it would be a very tight fit. To get the Rover 3.5 into a Mazda I had to push the radiator forward an inch or two and still had to cut out a large bit of the floor/transmission tunnel to make room for the V8 and autobox. Luckily the stock manifolds just squeezed in OK. The owner decided he wanted go faster 4-branch tubular ones and he had to send it to a place in Croydon (?) that did bespoke ones for formula racing engines. I haven't a clue how they did it but they were a work of art.

You all must know by now how I feel about electric cars. I just happened across this article about the early ones (with photos). https://www.libraryhistt.com/2024/02/th ... ctric.html
I would happily own a Baker or Detroit Electric as long as its not equipped with a lithium battery pack.

@ Hotrodder, 1970 continued, with a special Fiat 500 in black. Your disappointment has certainly not escaped me. To ease the pain slightly on to the good news. As far as I know nobody tried to get a V8 into this Fiat 500 limousine. Just for touring on a summer's day, only a 700 cm3 engine. Room for improvement, where experienced eagles and others dare.... And your dream comes true.
