That CT OK feeling...
The Minor van has sailed through it's CT with only the usual little mentions which pop up every time, typical with older vehicles.
Two years before we have to think about it again.
Didn't do anything to it before hand other than get two new front tyres, hoover out the dog fur and give it a quick wash. I don't think it's fair to give Didier a mucky vehicle to check over!

How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

The rain has stopped today so I'm going to make a start rebuilding the front suspension on my old van. I only noticed last night after re-reading the failure notice. I have to do both sides, not just the one he pointed to.
Then the Mrs. reads out a nice ad for a property that has two huge workshops, one with a car lift installed.

On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

So you are off out looking at the house then?
Our little abode was bought as a 'lock up and leave' second home, no grass, just a courtyard and the ground floor is a garage. The garage currently houses 4 Minors - one half re-built so as you know it takes up more room with the 'loose' parts scattered about, a couple of classic motorbikes, bike trailer plus freezer, washing machine, boiler etc etc.
Not high enough for a lift, and the trailer tent lives elsewhere with a load of odd Minor parts - bootlids and the like.
You can't have enough garage space, ever!

That's a proper sous-sol !
When we bought our place I noticed the sous-sol was "vierge !! No transformation, no kid's playrooms. So I have a large workshop, four classics and space for another. However, I have agreed with myself that enough is enough.

I was tempted at a rassemblement this weekend, and it wouldn't have taken up much space !
I have enough to keep me happy as there is usually something to do after and before each competitive event (rallyes and hillclimbs).
In fact one is in the bodyshop for repairs after an accident (not my fault) during a rallye in the Limousin a few months ago. Hope to get it back this week. Will be off to the Vosges in a couple of weeks for another rallye (hope the paint has dried !)

I got one side removed today before the back stopped play. I noticed the bottom section of the frame outriggers both sides is completely shot away. Oddly the CT man didn't mention it on the fail notice. It will need welding if/when it does get noticed. I don't think I can do it laying on my back with my old stick welder so its a worry.

I'm lucky. We live in an old farmhouse, and the outbuilding where I keep my MGB has a wooden floor. Underneath there is a cellar, so I've cut the floor under the car into panels that I can remove when necessary, giving me, effectively, a pit. Without that, because of my age and health, I think I would have sold the car years ago.

Good idea to have a thread to discuss events, share mechanical tips, questions etc.
