Simple question
I was deliberately using surrendered in the Imperialistic terminology of the time. Since the whole discussion was about Empire it seemed appropriate but I fully accept that all moves to independence were giving back to the local population their own countries.

Simple question
‘ “surrendered".
Strange choice of verb. I think you mean when it returned Ireland to its rightful owners.’
Who was it said something about all property being theft ?
