RIP Una Stubbs

Una Stubbs has died today. I remember her so well in roles such as the TV series Till Death Do Us Part.

Oh that's sad - I remember watching her as an Aunt Sally in Wurzel Gummidge when I was a kid. She was very funny.

I had to look her up to remember she was Alf's daughter not his wife!

I always enjoyed her performances, but I had no idea she was that age, thought she was the same as me, 78.

For me Una Stubbs was very much her own person .. reflected in the wide variety of roles she took .. adding something of her own personality to each.
A stylish woman too .. I could only admire her taste in clothes. I am certainly not ever chic.
On another tack I had no idea that she was also a gifted in another direction .. as a painter who had entries in the Royal Academy's 'Summer Exhibition' as late as last year.

What a loss ..
