Completely agree @Char. The purpose of writing and speaking is to communicate. If the meaning is clear, then no matter how many grammatical or spelling errors, the job has been done.

My English spelling and grammar heve gone to pot in the 20 years I've spent translating - I have to look up the simplest of words to check.

The constant repetion of yes, yep, yeah when someone is being interviewed. The TdF riders are terrible for this during after stage interviews.
Also one that always annoys, writing loosing for losing 😬
