Passport question again
Did you have to have someone in the UK sign your photo as a verification that it was you? My daughter in law did when she last renewed her UK passport.

Passport question again
@demi No, no signature necessary. I uploaded the photo and it was well accepted - presumably it had the same biometric measurements or whatever.

Passport question again
Unless you read the forms quite carefully, it can seem that a signature is required on a renewal. I nearly got caught out when I made my first renewal in Germany and was wondering how I was going to find an acceptable person to do the signing. But re-reading the forms I then found it was not necessary.
The wording may have changed since then of course.

Passport question again
I imagine that being my third renewal here, a signature is not necessary. There was never any indication in the on line renewal that it would be necessary.

Passport question again
My wife's image by her old digital camera was not accepted by the bot a couple of years ago, so we had one taken by the local photographer, who emailed it to us.
I had a similar problem last month, using my laptop camera. The bot didn't like it, but I simply stated that it looked good to me.
The images were accepted in both cases.

Passport question again
A not dissimilar case here. We got our pictures taken by a professional but mine was rejected. I objected and said that I had driven 22km to get the picture taken by a professional.
Lo and behold, the picture was accepted.

Passport question again
Just had an email from DHL saying they will deliver my passport tomorrow. If all goes to plan, I call that fantastic service - just over 2 weeks from my online application.
