Um, I wore miniskirts and hipster jeans in the 60s in London, neither of which left much to the imagination. I grew out of it though.
Tats never occurred to me - I associated them with prisoners in London jails.... Our younger daughter asked me if she could have a tat when she was at lycée and about 15. I refused, much to her disgust. I'm neutral on the subject now (for adults) but I see many young women 'decorated' and wonder why they feel the need.

I've noticed recently that there are a lot of older ladies ie way past their 50s/60s that seem to enjoy having their tatoos on show - some tatoos are naff whereas some others are quite intricate and fascinating to see - not something I have ever had or wish to have.
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

One of my ex-colleagues is married to a supermarket ‘executive’ in his late ‘50s early ‘60s. He usually wears smart, probably expensive, suits and drives cars in the same category. They and their three late teens/early twenties enjoy an enviable lifestyle and share photos of their three of four extravagant holidays per year on Facebook. In one family group photo Mr Dull and Boring got the chance to show off his tattooed arm and it would have been the envy of many a footballer. The trouble is, to me, it simply looked stupid. I’m sure it pleases him but it just looks ugly and totally out of place. I’d love to know what his daughters make of it.

I personally don't like tattoos on anyone. My daughter started with a couple of neat, small ones but she's getting more and more. She has issues, yes!

I personally don't like them, the police love them
the only person in our family to have them is our daughter
she designed them herself two are small and are mainly hidden under clothing, one is about 120mm on her upper arm, its a pair of bird wings folding as in holding a bat, it is a work of art, she did it in her early uni career getting in with the wrong crowd, I suppose to express herself. Its your body you can do anything you like to it, when browsing in the local supermarket, go to the magazine section and have a look at a few of the mags devoted to tattooing, if you think they are bad the ones we see on the street, it will open your eyes. People are influenced by other people in power or wealth or celebrity, they just want to look like them even if the have a brain of an amoeba, the looks of bulldog chewing wasps, and the habits of a sewer rat, that may be a bit harsh on the rat sorry.
