I'm not sure if some of the rivers here in France are much better. Whilst out riding recently, we went across the river Isle near us, at a shallow point, and noticed someone skinny dipping in the deeper parts. She had to duck down fair, to hide all her assets, but we and our horses still enjoyed an interesting sight. Luckily her partner sat on the bank still had his shorts on! They must have been tourists, as any locals know the river is far from clean - as foam coming from a farm further up will show!

I hope that woman had a good, very thorough hot bath when she got back to her gite!!!! And I mean thorough!!
