Apparently though it’s thought she was attacked around Wednesday lunchtime and was found Thursday morning when a concern for welfare check was made

A new arrest has been made :
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cz6v5z9zz8jo

In both arrests, the BBC has stated that the individual was "white". Would they have said "black" if the person was black ?

I think they might and would also suggest nationality.

This follows from the Southport atrocity where nothing was said about ethnicty but word got out that he was black. 2+2 ended up with stories that he was a black refugee (he wasn't: British born and British nationality) and hey presto, you get riots about immigrants on the streets of a grieving small seaside town.

I think that they had to say white because there was a good chance of it kicking off, like Exile has said, if they hadn’t and even if they had said nothing people would have read stuff into it that wasn’t there

The speed the investigation is advancing is amazing. It's sad that so much about her is on display for the public to chew over. But that's the fate of anyone in public life particularly if their death is anything other than natural.

What's the chances of him being mentally unbalanced and should have been being supervised by his carers.

Well, He was certainly mentally unbalanced to commit murder, but carers should not be held accountable for such actions of their charges. If a person needs such extreme supervision, then they should be in an institution. The question arises, the cost, the availability and recognizing the level of danger of the person. It’s the age old problem of who is sane and who is not and who was the judge.
It seems that now there is a possibility of terrorism and the potentially brainwashed murderer. Yet another level of sanity.
As once said. “Stop the world….”

I find such public speculation worrisome.

I will go back to my earlier post where speculation about the perpetrator in the Southport atrocity led to riots.
The UK police have specifically asked people not to speculate on social media.
This is social media and so you are in direct breach of a police instruction.
