Don't you mean a *w*t? Sorry but if you are going to use a word you think is swearing, either use it or don't use it, took me a few seconds to work that one out. :roll:
I have a similar, but not the same, thought about Char's t'was, shouldn't it be 'twas, to signify a missing letter, or 't'was to indicate a missing space as well?

Oh dear, it looks like Djokovic will miss the US Open as well . . .

However, Novak Djokovic is still expected to be unable to participate in the year’s final grand-slam event, as there are no plans to relax American immigration rules that require incoming travellers to have undergone vaccination for Covid.
