Certainly confused me Char, one very small, minor and humerously intended interjection by me seems to have been removed altogether. In both threads. Perhaps I don't come here often enough to notice, and perhaps that is why. ;-(
Apologies if I have missed it still being there, in the confusion.

Some humour will never grow old. We have the ability to laugh at ourselves and our everyday mishaps (and of course laughing at politicians is just too irrestible!). But as we've supposedly evolved as a species, and try to treat our fellow man and woman with the same sort of respect we'd like to be treated with, some "jokes" really are just not funny anymore. For instance, I know some of my family are either racist, homophobic, whatever - and they'll crack a joke between themselves and find it funny. I find it sad that they haven't moved on - but if they keep it to themselves, that's up to them. They're just making themselves look bad.

I've merged it into this thread now, where it doesn't make any sense at all because it was pointless including Pat's post asking for posts to be added to a new thread when this is the new thread.Spardo wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 12:24 amCertainly confused me Char, one very small, minor and humerously intended interjection by me seems to have been removed altogether. But if we can't even laugh at ourselves, and our mishaps and imperfections, what a truly sad world this would be.
I belong to an FB site called "shiteventersunite". We embrace our falls, cock-ups, shiteness, and we all laugh together and take the piss out of ourselves and each other - it's all in good humour. It's a great tonic and escape from the current world of misery. Laughter (in the right circumstances) is the best medicine IMO.

It hasn't bothered us making fools of ourselves and acting really daft deliberately with our French neighbours especially with the language to make them laugh and it's how we've collected several French friends and very good friends they are too.
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride
