I read this post before the one before and as this one is on a new page I thought 'What' - one of us had a lttle too much vin last night - fortunately I read backwards (as I usually do ) but thought I'd post this anyway

Strangely, I was wondering only today while working on my mower if with the Americans refusing to embrace the metric system are using their version of Imperial when building their space stations, satellites, and related stuff. Even their threaded fasteners are different, and within metric the Japanese thread pitch is different from the European.

Obviously I, me, myself was obfuscated by the SI reference in yours, theirs first sentence. And the 1994 requirements, federally speaking, for metric units.
