I can remember a time in France when this tune was on every jukebox and could be heard all over France wherever you were.

Local boys to me.
I think they came from the Shepherds Bush/Acton area.
They certainly played a lot of gigs in my area before they got famous.
Here is a very old recording of them when they were still called The High Numbers at a pub, now gone, very close to my area.

Feel compelled to play this classic today. Just had news of a good friend of Mr B's dying suddenly - who was a massive fan of this band. Resembles the old timer in the vt wearing the red head band! RIP Colin - I think we'll be having a Gypsy King session in your memory.
