Meanwhile Dragon is delayed cos the naval base only operates from 9 to 5 due to cost cutting. I feel a Dolly Parton coming on !

On Kuennsberg this morning Penny Mordaunt made a comment about a shortage of welders among othing things. Perhaps encouraging Uni rather than a trade is beginning to be felt?

I blame the Green Party - taking perfectly good plumber/plasterers off the street and turning them into useless MPs, of which there are myriad wannabes!

Well, the pay is certainly good, with opportunities to take backhanders and join paying side gigs (think tanks, committees, etc.) and good networking opportunities to do a bit of insider trading.

And no need to get your hands dirty doing a useful trade.

At a Congressional Luncheon in Washington 26th June 1954 Churchill “Meeting jaw to jaw is better than war” underneath this is Winston S Churchill's signature, and under that is the words “Made in Great Britain”

Not sure where Trump is coming from when he rabbits on about the UK and Starmer.

He's thoroughly pissed off that Europe isn't falling all over him like his own US toadies. Thank goodness someone's standing up to him at last.
In one of his speeches, when the Japanese PM was present, he said that Starmer shouldn't have to consult with anyone before making a decision, he could just get on and do it. It's sad that the US is run by a twat dictator who feels he doesn't need to consult Congress or anyone else before doing exactly what he wants.
As for his comments about Pearl Harbour ....

That scrote can insult anyone he likes and then demand a favour the next day, such is his madness. He's always threatening to walk away from Nato. I would love him to do that, and then all the remaining members just carry on without him. Not financially easy but it would show him and the rest of the world we are united with a common cause.

Yes, he wants to weasel out of something he realises he can't win on his own. He still thinks other countries should be involved in protecting Hormuz - he actually believes other countries would agree to be target practice for his illegal war to bale him out.
