Totally bizarre to me as well Bayleaf I thought the idea was that Z came bearing gifts of mineral extraction rights in exchange for continued military assistance, from the USA, if anyone is playing around with world war 3 it has to be Trump and his stooges. It appears now that Z has the backing of the UK and the rest of the EU will follow suit, but do we have any military power to compete with what the yanks might be able to provide. Yep. Apparently they were moments away from signing this minerals deal, which now turns out to be just to repay America for what it has already supplied in terms of military help. Then it's a clean slate for "borrowing" more to continue fighting. No more talk of peace, which is what I thought was the initial point.

It just seemed too good to be true, if you follow me, is there a hidden agenda, behind what appeared to be a badly scripted attack on Z, could it be to appease Putin in some way, lull him in to a false sense of security, then knock him back down. It just didn't seem as if it was a "discussion" containing the world leaders involved, it got too personal and heated too quickly. I take it the mineral deal was scrapped.
