Quite - someone had US spell checker enabled - but I do not have time to edit it. Also, isn't it now LGV?
Indeed it is J, no idea why the government made that change years ago, but nobody takes any notice. ;)

I know you know it wasn't a criticism of you, just that I am fed up to the back teeth with my spell checker trying to correct me erroneously all the time.

Is there a UK spellchecker then? I do need one because as I get older I do make mistakes which I know are wrong but can't always work out why, and I am always on the lookout for the 'mistakes' which aren't.

UK spell checking - I guess it depends - but I have it set as UK on most applications I use.

Depends on your op system Spardo
With linux theres spell and grammar checker in numbers of languages., although the French grammar isn't very good.
My good lady needs English and French as she often translates for the commune and our association.

Pathca I agree ! I don't bother spell-checkers because they don't understand context, only correct spelling.

I always switch them off, they annoy me intensely so what you see is what you get. And it gives the pedants a chance to shine.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Nothing matters 'in the big scheme of things' Pathca, you're born, you live, you die. But now and again it would be nice not to be irritated.

Sometimes it makes no difference whether you use an English or American spell checker if it cannot understand the word.

It was a joke and it was funny - it made me laugh anyway.

What did the old pirate say to his friend when he reached his eightieth birthday.

"Aye maytey"

It's a five-minute walk from my house to the pub.

It's a 35-minute walk from the pub to my house.

The difference is staggering.
