On what charges?

Whilst he is undoubtedly living up to his nickname "Dodgy Dave" is anything actually illegal as opposed to just immoral?

Of course there are rules you cannot just keep asking for funding if you know your going bust.
If it was Joe public you would be charged with fraud.

Have you watched the program?

As Mytsy says, lot's of fraudulent activity between Gupta, Greensill with Dodgy Dave in the mix.

I doubt if it will go anywhere near the courts.

I do not doubt for one minute that there was a lot of dodgy stuff going on - though I suspect some minions will pay the price not Gupta and Greensill themselves. And I moved from CS years ago - they have been dodgy for years.

But as I read it, Dodgy Dave was an advisor not a board member - and however desirable it is for him to get his comeuppance I think on this one at least I think he is immoral more than illegal.

I'm firmly with niemeyjt on this one, unpalatable though it may be. We all know politicians are corrupt to a greater or lesser degree but unless they're actually caught with their hands unlawfully in the till there's precious little hope of dragging them into court.

"Earning" money is not a crime.

It's despicable. It's immoral. It's unhealthy for politics.

But it's not illegal.

Prostitution is still illegal, that makes it a crime. To be a politician you have to be a liar, have no scruples, be selfish, be corruptible, and no sense of shame, there will be a lot more on the job application sheet. :)
