Yes Blaze but was it late? Uk pensions are paid every four weeks which means the date each month varies, usually it comes forward by two or three days each month, then one month out of the twelve you will receive two payments  :D :D.

No, it wasn't late, Spectrum, and we received 2 payments in December. Like Headers, our pensions are paid into a UK bank account.

The usual cause of late payment of UK State pensions is a bank holiday in the USA. The UK government farmed out processing of pension payments to an american Company. That doesn't explain why the other was late, though, unless the NHS also uses a foreign Company?

So true. I have always wondered why the UK gov. is incapable of handling its own pension payments. Even the digitising process some years ago was farmed out to Siemens in Germany. Leaked news at the time said thousands of hard copy records were lost between the DWP and Germany. After recent illustrations of UK Gov. incompetence I now feel reassured its not in their hands. 8-)
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
