Ladies, would you like a section to yourselves where you can discuss those things you'd rather not discuss in front of the gentlemen, or talk about things that generally wouldn't interest the men?

The one Bayleaf was talking about was great, many of us have met, and keep in touch. We did not discuss members outside LO - well, there are far more interesting things to talk about !!

Was it visible on the index page and only accessible by password or was it like the moderator section ie. not visible and only a certain group had access to it?

It was a separate group, only accessible by password. I can't remember if it was visible on the index page - perhaps it was only visible to the group members.
There were some mild objections by some male members so perhaps it was visible. Naturally the men could have had their own section, but they weren't interested !

I suppose thinking about it - if I set it up so it's visible on the index and only accessible by password, that would make more sense than having a 'hidden' forum that people won't know it's there and be able to ask to join, wouldn't it.

If I remember well it was a separate group with the permissions setup, there is no need for a password. Only the group can see it and the absolute admin obviously. People would ask to join and could be added to the group by you.

If I remember well it was a separate group with the permissions setup, there is no need for a password. Only the group can see it and the absolute admin obviously.

There was a password, probably because of the fear of not being secure (I can still remember it !)

But it wasn’t needed, it is secure without a password because only members can see it and have the permission to access it.
