Now I'm even more confused than I was when this all kicked off earlier.
We know he (Putin) set off heading North West. Then the tracker was turned off. So perhaps he has fled the country and that that is known to the Wagner group.

According to data from the FlightRadar tracking website, the plane reached the Tver area – about 110 miles from Moscow and where Putin has a residence – before disappearing from the system.
It has been confirmed that he has indeed, left Moscow. Can we call him "Fledimir"?
Ah, the long lost brother of Boromir........he just needs a a magic ring.

It would seem that this circus has all the rings ( and clowns) that it needs.

Putin making a deal with the Wagner group. First sign of weakness from him. The DT put it" it was inevitable that Putin's mad dog would bite him"

If Prigozhin has gone to Belarus, where does it leave his troops/mercenaries ? Who will take charge of them ? They may be less than keen to join the Russian army if they are less well paid and have poorer equipment.

Well part of the deal is they can join the army - but also that Wagner is not dissolved - so I guess Prigozhin can command them as easily from Belarus if they remain.

Prigozhin is interested in his money making enterprises in Africa. I suspect his better soldiers will be moved away from Ukraine. The prison fodder will be assimilated into the Russian army.
Whether he will survive the exile is another matter.
Putting him in the same country as a load of nuclear weaponry, under whose control is unclear,is a bit scary.
