Wow! Fab-u-lous! My kind of people!! This is surely the way to go "as humans, the least we can do is give our bodies back to the Earth" (or something like that!)

But of course, certain big organisations are going to block this (as with other good ideas) because they won't be earning the big bucks from it....

I'd like to be buried somewhere on our own land to compost and regenerate - but so much better by this method, where our remains can be spread, and the process sounded less harmful.

My grandad wanted to be chucked on his compost heap.

My dad said the same Char. He would have been happy to have been put on the compost heap. He couldn't see the point of an expensive funeral when you're dead.

In 2009 when my dad died, he left his body to medical science. He had to "post" his body to Bristol from Plymouth, at a cost to him, of around £80 and if his body was rejected they said he would have to pay the fee again to transport his body home! Luckily, they accepted it and we had a memorial service instead. If my mother wanted, she could have the remains returned to her after 1 year for a funeral. She declined saying it would be to painful to go through it all again.
