Grab a chair, kick off your shoes, chill and chat.My wife & her mate were on a club horse randonnée at the coast today & towards the end of the day got seperated from the others & lost on their way back to the beach car park rendezvous spot.
They were in town & spotted a couple of flics in their car so asked for directions.
"Follow us" said the flics & set off in their car with missus & mates having to trot their nags down the pavement to keep up with them.
After a few hundred metres or so they slowed the horses as the going was too hard & lost sight of the flics.
A few more hundred metres down the road they came across the flics who were waiting to hold up traffic so the gals could safely cross the road to the car park.
Obviously horse loving flics.

That was kind of them ! During the first confinement, the mounted branch patrolled the beaches here to make sure no-one was transgressing. They kept the horses at the local stables. It must have made a welcome break from crowd control and they were able to have the beaches all to themselves

I wish I'd been a flic for a day or two then Blaze. Something I've never done (and it won't happen now) is a beach ride and I would have loved it.

If your missus is anything like me, she'll be reliving that in her mind for a long time! I'm gradually gathering small clips from headcam footage, so I can enjoy watching them when I'm too decrepid to ride!

Fantastic. And such a beautiful day for it too.
It took me quite a while to convince my boy that fairly large puddles wouldn't actually swallow him up. An open ocean might have blown his mind!

@Veem Nicolas Blondeau always included going through water (as well as showering) as part of breaking-in (and, perhaps even more important, loading and unloading into a trailer) 
It didn't take long for my beauty to get used to the sea - the waves are less scary as the tide goes down. But she was well accustomed to going through ponds and wet forest tracks.
