Thank you for that - I've just realised that your wonderful new banner has the wrong 'bleu' according to recent changes made to the flags by M.Macron at the Elysee Palace

I wondered if someone would notice that.

Two instruments to calibrate your monitor:

1/ Old (?) and elegant, introduced by president Valérie Giscard d'Estaing in 1976;

2/ New (?) and strict.

What are the correct RGBs for each flag - I see many variations.

I've gone for Marine Blue #03224c, but I don't think it really matters. There doesn't seem to be an official colour.

Cobalt blue = hexadecimal color code #0047ab. Several shades of marine blue, I see also #1e3f5a. Who cares? In the real world rain, wind and sunshine are going to change these colours anyway. Only in the virtual world they will remain constant if everybody would have access to a very expensive calibrated monitor for photo editing.

I've always been a fan of navy blue - my French neighbour corrected me at a party when he didn't understand 'navy bleu' I tried to make reference to the blue & white sailor's hat with the red pom-pom when he finally got it - bleu marine, bleu marine he shouted - I've not forgotten that
