Big needle.. Large pain.

I have had two jabs so far. The first one I barely felt. The second one I felt absolutely nothing. A very insignificant ache the following day. I get my third one this Tuesday.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Even Fran, who is thin as a rake and must receive some of hers directly into the bone  , never flinches. No after effects either. It is years since I had treatment at a dentist, didn't like the needle but needs
As small as she is it won’t be going into the bone, that’s it’s own very specific procedure

Getting my booster (moderna) jab on the 14th December. Doc will be doing it again, and she is very proficient so I have no concerns. We're usually chatting so much anyway, that I barely notice it.

I don't think the photos/video clips showing people having their jabs helps. It's almost like they use someone hyper-sensitive, or tell them to look at the needle going in and make a face as if it's a kitchen knife going into their arm!

Look away and talk about something random usually works for me - same with blood. I'd probably faint if I watched it happening, so why put yourself through that?!

I guess this may only be watchable if you have an fb account - but it's a cracker!

I used to hate going to my old dentist in Kent. His chair and equipment would have qualified as proper antique and his needle was about ten inches long with a couple of kinks in it. He was a Scotsman and loved his mid day whiskey with lunch. I eventually learned to book a morning appointment.

I seriously doubt it. A Whisky perhaps but not a Whiskey (scotch versus Irish whiskey)

Well I survived. No idea how big the needle was but it was put almost into the shoulder rather than biceps like flu. I congratulated him on an almost painless injection - he replied "Well I've done quite a few now since April".

QR code is now in both Swiss and French apps.

Interestingly they swiped my medical insurance card - apparently, my insurer pays not the state. Like for flu.

Who pays in France?

Good I'm glad it went OK - The French State paid for ours.
