Covid booster
In the UK Today the need for a 15 minute wait post vaccine has been removed to facilitate more vaccines being given

It wouldn't make any difference here because of the difficulty recruiting more "jabbers". We're taking over 800 people a day and are pretty stretched - the benevoles don't get any break at all during the morning or afternoon, unlike the paid nurses and doctors ! And we are on our feet the whole time - someone measured the distance we walk with a podometer and it came to about 5 kms over half a day !!
At the start of the campaign, there were a fair amount of "malaises", mostly caused by anxiety. Today, we still get the odd one, usually a first-timer. People at risk of an allergic reaction wait for half an hour because they can be looked after on the spot. Almost everyone seems quite happy to have their little rest time. We try to keep them amused
The fear of turfing everyone out immediately after being jabbed is down to fear of being held accountable if they pass out in the car park. But of course someone could have a reaction some time later ....

I hate it when Marathon and Watergate get bastardized to infer an act of heroics or criminality.

I remember when I first started having ‘flu jabs ,the first couple of times being made to wait for the 15 minutes then they didn’t bother any more.
The worry was an anaphylactic issue which has happened rarely if at all so the powers that be have decided to forego the wait. It is unlikely to require many more jabbers just those there doing more shots as there will be more movement through( unless of course they convert the recovery area to a vaccination area then they will need more vaccinators)

Is the AZ jab egg-based like flu?
But as for mRNA jabs now being used for boosters - is there anything in them to trigger an allergic reaction?

There were a couple of supposed anaphylactic reactions in the very early days of Pfizer, which is why I didn’t get mine when I was first supposed to,as my food sensitivities cause a swollen throat which is on the anaphylactic spectrum although mine takes hours to develop. The people who had the reactions were very allergic but there may have been other factors involved

I had my booster Friday before last, Pfizer. My other 2 were AZ.
I had, and still have, a red area where the vaccine was administered but in the five days following, the rash developed across my arm causing swelling and the area was hot.
I sent photos to my MT to ask advice, she replied that she hadn't seen a rash before like mine, but she had seen lots of people with reactions.
I just wonder why I suffered badly the third time but not the previous 2?

So off you go, get in your car and if you feel poorly try not to crash.
Jeez.
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

But people weren’t getting ill in that 15 minutes the reaction is something like 1/100 000 to the vaccines that are being given
